Before you remodel or build a new kitchen, take a look at the following reasons why I believe that you should choose solid surfacing rather than granite surfacing.
Sealing
Unlike granite surfacing, solid surfacing does not need to be regularly sealed to prevent bacteria growth and stains. Maintaining granite becomes tedious, especially because we do not have time to keep resealing our kitchen countertops in today’s modern lifestyle- and even if we did have the time, we would probably want to do anything else.
Design Options
When it comes to solid surfacing, there are so many colours and designs to choose from. See more.
Durability
While surfacing like granite seems to chip and crack after awhile, solid surfacing is more durable. I found that solid surfacing is stain-resistant and heat-resistant and therefore after years of use, surfaces still look brand new. For this reason, both commercial and residential settings benefit from solid surfacing.
Revamping
When it comes to renewing and repairing any chips, stains and damage, solid surfacing is able to be easily repaired; granite, on the other hand, is more difficult to repair.
